More and more Americans eat alone. Not counting parents trying to pack their kid's lunch while he's eating breakfast.

60% of Americans eat breakfast alone.

52% of Americans, or more, eat lunch alone.

32% eat dinner alone.

What are you doing as you read this, and who else is around?

This is in part to the growing number of single people. I don't know who the NPD Group are, but on the bright side they find this all encouraging if you want to market single-serve foodstuffs.
